The officer shoots to the left (right handed) due to the shooting grip she was trained for.

I was taught to grip with the third & fourth finger only. Your thumb is a constant.

The fifth finger (pinkie) will cause the pistol or revolver to shoot opposite or your hand when one squeezes the grip.

Right handed, left.

Left handed,right.

Try it.

I shoot my Redhawk & 1911 with two fingers only on the grip.

I’m wondering if those weren’t scare’em shots. She was hoping not to have to actually shoot him? She did a whole lot of shooting without any hitting. The guy was operating on full stupid and wasn’t going to be deterred.

Might be a product of the current political climate.

Good instructor! By no coincidence at all, this is also the training for kali, western fencing, and kobudo. Probably more, but these are ones I can recite with confidence. Biomechanics doesn’t change with technology:)
