They were the classical music power couple. Marriage fell apart. I think they're both alive, she was in 2019, there's a vid of how she's learned to live with Alzheimer's.

This is a pretty nice, upbeat version of one of Kurt Cobain's deliberately depressing songs (I recognize this one, and "All Apologies", that's pretty much it). I heard a different, dreamy cover of it this morning (it was an uncredited soundtrack to a YouTube vid) and in looking for it, found this.
