Whatta coincidence - one of my high-school coaches and his wife are celebrating their 60th anniversary TODAY.
Their kids are legitimate, though...

45 yrs this Sunday......one adult dtr very gracious towards us, one adult son kind of a cluttered life and he rarely thinks of cards or calls....one dtr at home with aspergers will sometimes make her own card for us but she also will buy me a starbuck tea once in a while, or a book from the store...

Marriages seem not to endure as long as they did.
My grandparents celebrated their ‘diamond’ (75 years) a while back. All their 9 children and 45 grandchildren attended.
Made the local newspaper - even though they were just farm laborers - they were very healthy and devoted.

John and Martha have been married for fifty years. And that got John to thinking.
Martha, John said, you were always there for me. When I got my draft notice, you were there. When I was injured in that car accident, you were there. When I got laid off from the factory, you were there. And when our house was destroyed by a tornado, you were there.
Martha, John continued, you are just bad luck.

So sorry to hear that. That can be hurtful. We have both sides of the spectrum going with offspring. It is so hard to understand the lack of gratitude and attention from the “bad” ones.

We celebrated my parents’ 60th in 2017 with a small, visit-them-at-home party.

It was our 41st anniversary 2 days ago and today is my birthday. All 3 kids always remember my birthday and get me a present, on pain of death, which I learned from my mother. Its the least they can do after everything weve done for them over the years, and I guess I trained them well because they never forget, lol.
My son and youngest daughter live within 35 minutes of us, and my older daughter lives 4 houses away, so we see them all frequently, although my son rarely calls which makes me a little sad. However, Im pretty lucky that we are still a close, loving family. Thank you, Jesus!

ROFL...
As someone who is still with the girl he met in 1958 and has three kids, I can relate to this story...Sometimes...
I think next April on our anniversary, I'll try out this hilarious response... just for kicks...
