"What is Orthodox Americanism? Is it strict Constitutionalism or born of Scottish Enlightenment (Lockian/Painian) or related to Orthodox religion?"

I use "Orthodox Americanism" as shorthand to refer to the common sense original ideas for how our country should work. It is constitutionalism as originally intended, and more. The genius of American government is LIMITED government especially at the big national level, with 9th and 10th amendment recognition of our unalienable rights to limited government powers especially at the big levels, and to many unalienable rights both written and unwritten, which we the people retain.

In addition many of our rights extend to all levels of government, even the micro levels.

It's more the government the founding fathers intended.

And it's NOT mob rule democracy like the news media and most "liberals" think these USA are about (what an old word now, the leftists are so much worse nowadays).

You are the first person I think to ever ask me about that tag.

The term "orthodox" to me is a reminder that we have a standard that we have to keep going back to. We just have to keep re-setting things back to our original genius ideas for government -- because the kids just keep pushing their unstudied feel-good interventions, which will eventually grow to become mass demicide if they go on unchecked.

This is what we face if these sociocommunofascists gain real power in this election. (I am not saying anything you are not already aware of, of course.)

(I have Scottish heritage (among others) but am not schooled enough in history to really know what "Scottish Enlightenment (Lockian/Painian)" refers to. I do think that there were many great thinkers and doers among the founders in addition to Locke and Paine. Those founding fathers had to be both geniuses, and feisty, so you can certainly see where Scot blood would help!)
