If so, and if those are the appointed Electors referred to in the Twelfth Amendment, then I am wrong, and I thank you for resolving this matter. I was under the impression that electors were appointed to the slates pledged to the candidates on or before Election Day, but not appointed to the Electoral College until the election results for a given state are certified.
