You should do that anyway.
Thumb drives are cheap, portable and hold a lot of data. I keep my business records on thumb drives and just unplug them when I am through.

I have MY records on paper & the computer I use to post & gather all the data has NEVER been connected to the internet. DOS system I bought in November 1991 that still works fine.

I DO MEAN MY RECORDS...I have them boxed-—back to 1963, due to different property ownership. I even have the ABSTRACT connected to a property In owned for 18 years. It saved the day when my brother-—who bought the property from me-—had a beef with the State. I had the records-—ON paper—that the State ‘mysteriously could not locate”. Saved him thousands in legal fees. AND HE BEAT THE STATE AT THEIR OWN GAME...
That is priceless.
