James Chadwell II, 42, is accused of luring a 9-year-old girl into his home in Lafayette on April 19 to pet his dogs
He then allegedly attacked, strangled and assaulted her in his basement
Lafayette is just 20 miles from Delphi where the two teens were murdered
Abigail 'Abby' Williams, 13, and Liberty 'Libby' German, 14, were murdered back in February 2017 while hiking along the Monon High Bridge Trail in Delphi
More than four years on, very little is known about their murders
No suspects have been named, no arrests made and the teenagers' causes of death and details about the crime scene continue to be kept under wraps

Ok so whether it’s a hat or not, I still think he resembles the guy. The full story won’t be known until we get DNA looked at. If his DNA is a match for the perp with those other girls, then the mystery is solved.
I hope they have the right guy, but if not, let’s keep looking.
There is an audio recording from one of the girls phones. A reliable voice print should be able to be obtained.

Also according to G Webb the girls were double garroted.
With all the ‘artifacting’ going on in that poor quality video, don’t be so sure it’s a hat.

The Delphi case really always seemed mishandled to me. The sheriff’s department or state police never came forth with all the information they had. It’s always been clear they’ve been holding something back. Not that they know who the killer is the entire time, but they’ve kept back evidence from the public, while at the same time begging the public for help.
I suspect there’s a lot more video evidence and audio evidence that the family is reluctant to allow be made public due to violent content.
I think I read in news reports that there was a lot more audio caught on her phone that was not released. The police said it was horrific so certainly it recorded much of the attack, which doesn’t bear thinking about. I’ve prayed that they would catch this guy, this case sickened me and still does.
I lean toward that LE has a prime suspect person of interest who is already d e a d.
