COVID-19 Vaccinations in the United States (20 July, as of 06:00 AM ET)

In the 24 hours since the last report:

People Vaccinated, First Shot: 157,000 (Shockingly Weak).

Fully Vaccinated: 158,000 (Shockingly Weak)

% Total Population with at least a First Shot: 56.2% (up 0.1)

Those ≥ 18 Years of Age (Adults): 68.3% (flat)

Those ≥ 65 Years of Age: 89.1 % (flat) (79.5% Fully Vaccinated - flat)

Cases, Hospitalizations and Deaths continue rising - Weekend reporting was revised upward, as has become the weekly norm.

Vaccinations have slowed to new lows.

In Los Angeles County, the rate of new coronavirus cases has increased 300 percent since July 4 and hospitalizations have more than doubled, the county health department said.

Mississippi sees COVID hospitalizations nearly double in the last two weeks. Although the rate of increase is rapid, the total numbers are still low (from 98 to 193).

House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) cited the delta variant for his decision to get vaccinated on Sunday.

According to Johns Hopkins University, the average number of daily COVID-19 cases last week was 32,278. That's 145 percent higher than the rate two weeks ago.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said the number of hospitalizations increased by 50 percent in the past two weeks to about 24,923 a day.

Alaska, Florida, Mississippi and Arkansas have all seen a substantial upward trend in new cases over the past two weeks, according to data from Johns Hopkins.

Over the last two weeks, new cases in Alaska have increased fourfold (to 186) and fivefold in Florida (to 11,362).

The Dow seems to be coming back today, regaining over half of yesterday's drop over Delta variant impacts. Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity made positive statements about COVID vaccination on the air on Monday (19 July). Tucker more so:

""There may well be profound benefits to the vaccine," Carlson stated on his Monday night broadcast. "My understanding is that the vaccine does have benefits."

"It seems to various vaccines seem to lower the effects of the disease, make it less severe on people," he continued. "They're less likely to go to the hospital to take for taking that. That completely makes sense.""

The Miss Universe competition to take place in (Eilat) Israel in December, partly because of the lower risk of COVID there, due to high vaccination rates.

It is notable that while cases are rising, the death count in Israel remains low. In my clinical experience we are seeing that vaccinated patients are not progressing to severe disease and approximately a 3% hospitalization rate in this surge.

It is also worth pointing out that the surge hit fast and steep and seems to be abating in the southeast. I continue to hold hope that as the VAST majority of patients I am seeing hospitalized are NOT vaccinated, and somewhat less sick (more surviving even critical illness) that HERD immunity will be achieved with natural immunity + vaccination.

Thanks again for the update. Everyone will eventually get immunity one way or another. Some will regret the option they chose.

I can only assume Sean and Tucker were taken to the woodshed over some of their coverage, mostly Tucker.

I was hoping to see an uptick in vaccinations. Either way we will get to herd immunity.
It is still clear in our experience that it’s protective since the vast majority of our cases are vaccinated. And all the icu covid.

Me too.

I think we were already experiencing Herd Immunity against the original strain of COVID-19, and it is unlikely that there will be another strain more transmissive than Delta. Delta will likely raise the population immunity high enough to wrap this thing up for good.

That bar chart visibly shows the exponential increase of Delta as a percentage of newly sequenced cases as a reflection of its infectiousness.

Herd immunity… here we come. Glad to not see a coinciding rapid increase in deaths.

It seems the vast majority of those diagnosed with the delta variant are the unvaccinated. The good news is that they are largely young and were never in danger, will survive and their humoral immunity will only improve. Since the vast majority of those who may have serious disease have been vaccinated it is even better news. (of course these premises are assuming the government narrative is true). - it seems to me, it would be wise to leave the young, healthy and unvaccinated alone. Not sure what I am missing. Cheers

People keep accidentally saying the truth. I’ve seen 2 news articles and one live interview in which the statement is honestly made that it’s mostly the vaccinated. And then there’s the hasty retraction. The truth will come out, even past all the denials.

All the 'vaccines' being pushed on the public induce the production of spike proteins, or in the case of Novavax, inject spike proteins.
