Unless she leveled the building even onsite backups would work in this case. True. But a fire or tornado can wipe out your data center. But if you are either cloud based or have an offsite backup and a hot site you are dead in the water.

Plenty of organizations have never tested their backups or their ability to restore from backups. This is one of them.
