This “horse dewormer” BS is pure propaganda. I am so tired of our lazy media regurgitating government talking points.

There is no suggestion at all that Joe Rogan is using the “horse dewormer” paste. All indications are he is taking tablets prescribed by a doctor.

Yes, it can be used for farm animals in a paste, or injection.

It is also available for household pets, as are many medicines which are identical to the human version just different dose.

It is also available for a variety of “FDA approved” human uses and has many properties that make it a very good potential treatment, in conjunction with other medications and vitamins, to stop covid from infecting human cells. It has anti-viral properties.

There is a good paper from about 10 years ago detailing some of the proposed mechanisms of action for Ivermectin.

Ivermectin is listed by the World Health Organization as an essential medicine for all countries to stockpile for human use.

I am not saying it is 100% guaranteed to work, unfortunately nobody has any incentive to study it the proper way because it is a cheap generic. But there is very sound biological rationale for why it should work very well, when used with Zinc, and with D3, C, and antibiotics among a few others.

Ivermectin was discovered I think over 50 years ago by a farmer in Japan who wanted to know why his crops were doing so well (and found Ivermectin in the soil), sent samples to Merck who patented it. It has anti-fungal, anti-parasitic and anti-viral properties. That patent is expired.

I can see where it’s coming from. Some people think if fish meds have a sought ingredient it’s ok to use them on humans even though fish absorb it through their skin. And we saw the same thing with yoot vapers thinking feed store ingredients were cool to put in their lungs. I’d wager that most of the feed store would-be purchasers are of the younger crowd, too.

Another thing important to know, besides don’t use animal products, ivermectin isn’t advised for pregnant women or women who think they may be pregnant. So for gals, might want to have one of those tests around before using

The dose used for the eye worms that cause river blindness is 68 MCG per pound - once a year (in severe cases repeated once at 3 months). Doses used in trials were varied and only trialed against original covid, so dosing for Delta may be different and should be used under a doctor’s care because....

ivermectin can compound bronchitis and reacts with warfarin. Additionally it can cause dizziness, shaking or trembling, painful joints, swelling of extremities, lightheadedness, racing heart, headaches and rashes - and that’s just from the riverblindness dose. At high doses it’s a known teratogen - affects embroyo development in several animals. It has not been trialed against pregnant humans. You need to let your doctor know right away if you have any side effects, especially any of the above.
