I feel badly for be very one who loses a beloved pet. Those who make nasty comments about this need to remember one word: karma.
Her name was Roxy a 12 Y/O beauty. Was giving her insulin injections twice a day since March. Never gave me any problems taking the jabs.
Whoever you are, you’re a miserable, vile, heartless creep who’s never known the unconditional love of a wonderful dog.
I feel bad for Dana and her husband over the loss of Jasper. We have had dogs since I was a toddler. Wonderful creatures and great friends.
“..just not sure we want to go through it again”
I know how you feel, I have had many fur baby’s I had to put to sleep all Siamese, the time you have with them is precious. I will rescue another when the time is right.
No problem buddy, I know how it hurts.
When you stop whatever it is you’re doing and think of them, they’ll stop whatever it is they’re doing “over there” and come running to comfort you.
Thank you for the kind words, they are very true.
My goodness, no need to be mean about it. All of us who have lost beloved pets can shed a tear now and again when someone else loses theirs. We remember the feeling. In the case of Dana, we all “know” her and knew how much she loved her dog. I don’t believe she has children of her own so all her love went to her pet.
I used to be like this. We started a homestead 6 years ago, and I realized something. Even though we love our animals and they are our companions, they are animals at the end of the day. We can love them and morn their loss; we have to understand thought that they are transient in our lives.
Mind you, this comment is coming from someone that like his animals better than most people.
Have had only poodles in my life. All were miniatures, and one toy. The toy lived until she was 19.
“Mind you, this comment is coming from someone that like his animals better than most people.”
I have to agree with you. Honestly I can’t remember having this much grief over a human. Sounds cruel but true.
Sorry for Jasper, but “America’s dog”??
I have said farewell to dogs, cats, turtles, horses, birds and hamsters. Whether great or small it was never easy and I stayed close to comfort each one and give them as peaceful a passing as possible. RIP Jasper and there’s no doubt Dana and family gave you a very good life.....
DM, don't be like that. Let's be honest, most of the animals, whether pets, or livestock are better (ie more appreciative and true) than most people that we run in to on a daily basis. They live in the moment and their reaction to me is honest and true; feed me, keep me safe; I love you..
