Tourism has to be well down as well. Some will decide to never go. You might not be able to get back.
Hollywood is suffering? I now have mixed feelings about the lockdowns in Australia.
They can always film in China.
I have a relatively well known former actor buddy (whose work most Freepers are likely familiar with) who has been locked down with his family for two months. I asked him how he was coming along and he just sucks it up and refuses to complain. He feels it to be a patriotic duty. (I sense that he’s just afraid of losing his daytime job...)
Ironically, Australia would now be the perfect location for shooting those empty city scenes at the end of the movie “On the Beach”
Australia deserves to lose the business.
What is happening in Australia is tragic. What is happening to hellyweird as a result....is not. I hope EVERYWHERE shuts down for those weirdo whackos. I’d like to see their microphones shut off too.
Maybe getting rid of pissant Hollywood idiots was their goal. HA
Should have kept them locked up in the penal colony

“’Contrary to the claim, there is no exodus of international films from NSW because of the current Covid-19 situation,’ a spokesman told The Daily Telegraph on Thursday. “
she then waved her arm and added, “These aren’t the droids you’re looking for.” ...
these productions are rarely mentioned by FakeNewsMSM in Australia, because it would only make people even angrier that these thousands of people are considered “essential workers”, while they are locked down:

Please note that due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, some production schedules may only be indicative at this point in time.

one of the rare times the MSM took note of the outrage:

That should have been a giant red flag to the people of Australia right there. If COVID is such a serious problem that the entire country has to be locked down and people are expected to surrender their freedom, then there’s no damn good reason for anyone to be permitted to do anything as unnecessary and inconsequential as the filming of a stupid movie.
Perhaps that was the plan, all along.
