Having seen Audubon “volunteers” at work during Christmas and other bird counts in Gateway National Recreation Area back in the 80s and 90s, I wouldn’t put much stock in what they report. In the winter, the main interest appeared to be in consuming wine and during the summer, glassing the nude beaches seemed paramount.

2 hit our Living room window this summer and both died . Next door Neighbor has bird feeders and sometimes the birds chase each other and boom broken neckNatural selection. The dumb ones get weeded out and the species gets stronger.
