While looking for other articles on the subject, I ran across this one. In 2019 the city approved regulations regarding the type of glass for future construction.

Back when the towers stood, someone was detailed every morning during migration season to pick up bird carcasses from the plaza.

2 hit our Living room window this summer and both died . Next door Neighbor has bird feeders and sometimes the birds chase each other and boom broken neck
Having seen Audubon “volunteers” at work during Christmas and other bird counts in Gateway National Recreation Area back in the 80s and 90s, I wouldn’t put much stock in what they report. In the winter, the main interest appeared to be in consuming wine and during the summer, glassing the nude beaches seemed paramount.

This happens every year.
It turns out that seagulls fly alongside the migrating birds and guide them into skyscrapers, eating the resultant carcasses.
Used to happen all the time at Kennedy Space Center. Bodies everywhere outside the VAB. Almost like CONvid bodies stacking up during a scademic. 😨
I like how they die in neat rows according to species.
