“All that being said and done, I was talking with folks in the afternoon and they are hearing that the exemption requests are basically useless because the Air Force, in particular, Air Force Reserve Command, is planning on issuing blanket denials for anyone who submits the requests, military or civilian. They are not even going to review them.”
The Air Force must still follow the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the holy grail legislation for leftists.
PART 1605 - GUIDELINES ON DISCRIMINATION BECAUSE OF RELIGION are clearly outlined in the act. This section is a “how-to” instruction manual to file a religious objection application, written by the US Congress as law.
Quite simply, the Air Force is violating the Civil Rights Act, IMO. An Air Force decree can NOT nullify a law passed by Congress.
But I’m no lawyer, so read it yourself and come to your own conclusion:

Good luck, FRiend.
Thank you for your input.
And believe me, if my initial application is denied, I will file an appeal and contact the legal firms I’ve been in contact with. I will also bring facts like this to their attention. I’m sure they will squirm in their seats, but I doubt it change anyone’s minds.
