Tough one as far as I am concerned. Man should have gotten out of his face and he should definitely have not tried to grab his gun.

The gentleman holding the arm was correct in his handling position of the firearm, from my perspective.

These were to cocks going at it (as in a FARM setting), being egged on by the former husband’s new wife......

He might have wanted to see his kid/s.....

Going to somewhere it is NOT his property....not leaving when ASKED to leave, getting in THE FACE of the current resident.....then attempting to GRAB the current resident’s firearm.....

Not a hard decision to make..... Yes; it might be heartbreaking....but on legal grounds? Not a hard decision from my perspective.

New wife was most likely egging her husband on since the marriage about the ex........

"Tough one as far as I am concerned. Man should have gotten out of his face and he should definitely have not tried to grab his gun."

While most people are focused on the shooting, I have to wonder how it got to this point.

Was the ex keeping their son from his father out of revenge? Was she playing "stupid games"?

Now the father is dead. How does the ex go forward in this relationship with the man who killed the father of their son?

How does the son fit into this relationship? Does he just accept "new dad" after "new dad" killed his real dad? What kind of relationship is he going to have with his mother especially when he gets older and puts all the pieces together? This is going to make for awkward daily life to say the least.

Using your children for revenge against an ex is evil. Everyone suffers. If the wife was using their son she is culpable in this tragedy and she's going to have to live with her actions as is the son.

If I were the son I don't know how I could forgive my mother or "new dad" even if "new dad" acted out of self-defense.

The guy with the gun should not have gotten that close or allowed the other guy to get that close to him.... especially since he was holding a long gun.

Best thing to do is go in the house and call the law. If he breaks in the house..... then KAPOW
