Democratic congressman Eric Swalwell appears to be following in the footsteps of fellow liberal Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez by taking a trip to mask-and mandate-free Florida - just days after lashing out at Republicans for 'prolonging' the coronavirus pandemic.
The California Democrat has repeatedly accused conservative lawmakers of being responsible for the ongoing covid wave and last week blamed the GOP for 'canceled vacations' and for having to wear 'masks everywhere' again just before the new year.
But Swalwell, himself was apparently able to go ahead with his holiday travel plans and ditch his mask just days later, when he was spotted hanging out at the posh Loews Miami Beach Hotel.
The 41-year-old was seen in exclusive DailyMail.com photos Tuesday chatting with a female friend at the lobby of the four-star hotel while looking after his infant son.

I’m not a leftist but I too am planning a vacation to FL soon! Normally I’d go to Hawaii around this time but I’m in CA and tired of being in a lockdown state with masks and vax passports and hassles and my leftist extended family members trying to “shame” me for being “unboosted.”
Swallowell will probably take the same approach as AOC and claim that Republicans just want to date him!
It doesn’t matter. Swalwell’s veracity died months and months ago. He is the only one who doesn’t realize it. He is the quintessential useful idiot.
He probably gets up every morning, checks his stock market and retirement investments, and that is the sum total of his concern ... himself. I doubt that he is a true communist, a true believer. He doesn’t have that much commitment to others or to anything. And he is assessed as such by all his colleagues. Useful, but with a soon-to-come expiration date. He is a lightweight, useful for a time, but only for a time. Fang-fang must be laughing her head off.
