MADISON, Wis. — It was a tale of two halves as Wisconsin blew out Michigan Sunday, 77-63.
The first half was back-and-forth. Neither team gained an inch, and the score at halftime was tied, 31-31.
But Greg Gard’s halftime speech must’ve stirred something, as the Badgers came out of the locker room on fire. A massive scoring run in the first 10 minutes gave the Badgers a double-digit lead, which they held onto to grab the win.
That scoring run was driven in large part by Johnny Davis. The man who has been the game-changer for the Badgers changed the game once again, scoring 25 points.
In all, Wisconsin had five players score double figures.
The win moves the Badgers to 21-5, 12-4 in conference play.
The end of the game was marred by an exchange of punches from players on both teams. Michigan head coach Juwan Howard and Wisconsin head coach Greg Gard got in each others’ faces before the fight, and Howard appeared to slap Wisconsin assistant coach Joe Krabbenhoft in the face.
The Big ten Conference issued a statement following Sunday’s contest:
The Big Ten Conference is aware of a physical altercation involving Michigan Head Coach Juwan Howard at the conclusion of the Michigan Wolverines and Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball game. The conference is in contact with both member institutions and is currently assessing the incident. The conference will provide more information and will take swift and appropriate disciplinary action when it completes its review.

No...Howard walked past the coach because be be mad and disrespected, knowhumimsayin? when Gard when to shake his hand. Howard then grabbed Gard and then they started yelling, and that's when everyone else came in, and Howard threw a punch, not a slap.
Even though the Wolverines coach (who threw the first punch) is an Obama younger brother.
Michigan is getting as bad as Noooootre Dame.

Howard’s words implied he was threatened by someone a foot shorter and a hundred pounds lighter. I am waiting for the claim of a racist taunt was uttered. Over / under line on suspension is two games.
Why is this supposed to be newsworthy? Get outta town!
No doubt the Big Ten will conclude that Coach Gard owes Coach Howard an apology for offering a response to his threat.
This is a big story for sports fans. Juicy too.

Howard first shoved a finger right in his face. Later he through a punch. With a game with that wide of gap not sure why a timeout effected an outcome. Maybe the timeout was near the end and Howard felt he was dissed? The winning coach may have wanted to put some seniors in the game near the end of the season. If it was a dissed thing, the Big 10 needs to nip it in the bud.
There’s too much “juice” in it for what it really was.
