Here is what I know:

• This is Putin's 3rd militaristic land grab.
• Putin stated that former states of the Soviet Union didn't have a right to be states. And that he wants to reestablish greater Russia.
• Ukraine does not want this. They are fighting hard. 3% of their population has fled the war and the potential of Russian domination.
• Russia will likely conscript Ukrainians into their military if Russia wins, making Russia that much stronger for their next conquest.
• Appeasement to aggressors has not worked in the past. It's only delayed the war and made the aggressor stronger.
• Russia will be in control of Europe's bread basket if they win this.
• The world is mostly united against Russia in this.
