Which Christmas movie is your fave, gub?

It's A wonderful Life

A Christmas Carol (but only the version with Alister Sim, 1951)

It happened on 5th Avenue

Not necessarily in that order.

I haven’t watched Die Hard or Die Hard 2 in many, many years so I can’t honestly say whether I would deem them Christmas movies.

I know the debate is on.

I don’t really watch movies, so my favorites are the two oldest - A Christmas Carol and It’s a Wonderful Life. I don’t think I’ve seen any others.

FWIW, I’ve never had Mexican food either lol.

You have NEVER had Mexican Food?

Now, lady, you are missing out on life. LOL

We need to ship some of the border crashers up your way to open a little Tacoria.

“I’ve never had Mexican food either lol.”

That’s too bad. Growing up in rural western NY, I never had Mexican food until I was in my 20s. Now I love it — the one thing I miss about our years in SoCal and now living in TN.

I was just teasing you!
My all time favorite is Scrooge starring Albert Finney.

If you have never seen it, PLEASE watch it!
I detest musicals, but this movie stole my heart!
Albert Finney is far and away the very BEST Scooge
I have ever seen, and I’ve soon plenty!

From our friends at Wikipedia:

Scrooge is a 1970 musical film adaptation of Charles Dickens’ 1843 story A Christmas Carol. It was filmed in London between January and May 1970 and directed by Ronald Neame, and starred Albert Finney as Ebenezer Scrooge. The film’s score was composed by Leslie Bricusse and arranged and conducted by Ian Fraser. With eleven musical arrangements interspersed throughout, the award-winning motion picture is a faithful musical retelling of the original.

The film was a follow-up to another Dickens musical adaptation, 1968’s award-winning Oliver!. The posters for Scrooge included the tagline “What the dickens have they done to Scrooge?”, designed to head off any criticism of an all-singing, all-dancing old skinflint.[2] Finney won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Musical/Comedy in 1971. The film received four Academy Award nominations, including for Best Original Song for “Thank You Very Much”.

My kids always had to watch “Christmas with the Kranks.”

They thought it was hilarious.

And “A Charlie Brown Christmas” was up there in their book.

I think I would too! I read CottonBalls receipe the other day and it sounded good. The food is just so foreign to me (hahaha) that I wouldn’t venture to make anything. It all sounds good, though. We have Taco Bell up here....does that count?

Even the smell of curry makes me a little nauseous.

We stayed in a motel in CA when I was PG that reeked of curry.

I had a barfing good time.

The Family Stone just got over and just in time to watch WR.

It was a 😢 and a 💔.

But they just had to work in the gay thingie didn’t they?

I thought with a 2005 movie I’d be safe.
