An Irish man was found dead lying in a pool of blood after he was mauled by a vicious chicken, according to reports.
Jasper Kraus, of Killahornia, was killed by a brutal Brahma chicken in April 28, 2022, according to a recent inquest in Ballaghaderreen, the Irish Examiner reported.
Kraus’ daughter Virginia Guinan said in a deposition that he was asleep when she dropped by that day and she didn’t want to wake him because he was in ill health and also upset that his dog had died.
Alerted about the bloodbath later, Guinan rushed back to his home, where she saw paramedics performing CPR on her dad as he lay in a pool of blood.

Obviously not. Seriously though, this must have been a rooster. They can be vicious. I have had a couple of them that have tried to spur me in the face. My guess is that it got him in the jugular.

I had to actually read the story to see how this was possible. Turns out he was already in ill health. The chicken gashed his leg in two places - maybe hit an artery - then he died of a heart attack.

I believe it. We used to have a Rhode Island Red rooster who would savagely attack cats or coyotes who dared to get close to his flock. Chickens can be pretty serious if they want to be.

An earlier post discusses the government pushing vaccination of chickens to fight Bird Flu. Perhaps the deceased had mentioned this out loud. The chicken, being a voracious consumer of Freerepublic, The Liberty Daily, and Citizen Free Press, decided it wouldn’t be a victim and did what he had to do.
Must have been hen-pecked.
