I have a really bad back. After I walk all over the store and unload my basket on the belt I really don’t feel like bagging them and and putting them back in the basket. So….when I walk up to the self checkout at Walmart I call over one of the attendants and say….I need you to scan and load all this for me. They always do. One of the cashiers told me awhile back that if asked they are supposed to.

Good points. I did see a woman even older than I who got help with the checkout. Probably the new phase will be having to ask for help.

I know they often have car curbside pickup but I thought of how many times we have to decide when due to supply chain problems exactly what we need is not there, but maybe the oversize one or the house brand might be okay rather than make another trip elsewhere. And I wonder if the staff leaves some defrosting or no longer cold items while they
take a break or see what store item I was talking out like the cashier who asked me which were cucumbers and which were zucchini.
