First responders were alerted to the situation after a 911 call reported someone screaming.

The property owner, who was not present during the attack, later “surrendered his dogs to Animal Services for humane euthanasia,” a department news release stated.

Officials said that three of the dogs were Belgian Malinois and another was a Cane Corso.

The victim, who has not yet been identified, was reportedly at the location to do some work for the property owner. Officials also said the victim had worked for the property owner before without incident.

These are very large vicious dogs, one step beyond even a pit bull. Only a sociopath would own them, let alone allow strangers around them.

Malinois are not very large, 60 lb maybe, but need to be expertly trained, high energy level, best not to leave them with someone they don’t know well, who they don’t take orders from.

Cane Corso, that’s the huge dangerous sociopath’s dog.

I’d think this would be a particular terrible way to die.

Family of the deceased has grounds for a big lawsuit IMO.

What kind of dogs?

There was a guy a couple counties over that was ate up by his own dogs. They found him in their poop. The deputies shot them.

There are 3 different sizes of Catahoula. Mine is large. She’s a blessing and a curse.

Catahoula are 300 years of crossbreeding between mastiff and greyhound. Brought over by Spaniards. They can be wicked/twisted. Come in 3 sizes. Mine is large, yet she likes cats and is sweet. Very unique bark.

Were the owners not arrested? It seems there is no uniformity on dealing with killer dog owners.

Why just yesterday or the day before , here, I read and article with a video. In it 2 elderly were attacked and the man killed by a few Pitts and no one would do much to stop it. Matt Walsh did a piece on it.

Anyway that owner had already been arrested and would face criminal charges.

I would workers/companies would require that dogs of any kind be crated or restrained somehow before they do work in a house. I would think their insurance companies would require it. I heard a while back about a dig walker who was mauled when she went to the house of the dog she was hired to walk. Many dogs will attack a person on their property. They are territorial and protective. It’s too much of a liability for companies.

Cane Corso? They’re a an old breed of mastiff. Italian. Mastiffs aren’t known for being vicious. I know several people who have them and I wouldn’t describe them as sociopaths.

I have a Catahoula/Staffy mix rescue. Smart as heck, sweet, and loyal. About 70 lbs.

Mastiffs aren’t known for being vicious.

Mastiff breeds are very territorial and protective. They might not be aggressive in all circumstances but they can be triggered and change demeanor on a dime. All mastiff breeds are derived from the molossus war dog. The lists of most dangerous dogs are heavily populated with mastiffs: Tibetan mastiff, Pakistani mastiff (bully cutta), South African mastiff (boerboel), Caucasian mastiff (ovcharka), and other mastiffs. I'm not sure how you are defining vicious but mastiffs can be aggressive and dangerous, particularly in the hands of inexperience dog handlers.
