Why isn’t it ever a pack of feral, rabid chihuahuas that do this kind of thing?

Same happened to me. I told my brother in law that that dog goes to daycare and if it charges me again, I’d kill it (as I had my .38SPL at the low-ready. Dog went to doggy day care while we stayed for a week. I had a 7 and 5 year old with me and the dog had a “kill” look to it.

Brilliant observation.

I wasn’t thinking about that. Just that it was a strange handle.

"It’s very heartbreaking," Crawford said. "For him to be gone at such a young age he was such a joy to be around. Very lovable kid, loved his mother, they were like glue, them two together.

The dog, they was friends. We have no reason … Don’t know why it happened, but we’re just trying to deal with it as best we can."

This aunt -- and perhaps the rest of the family -- reads like illiterate cracker trash. Stick your head inside that dog's mouth, biotch.

These pits kill with no provocation from the child.
It’s not the kids fault.

There are many stories of them snatching babies out of the mama’s hands.
I just saw a video this morning of one trying to get a puppy out of the owners arms. The pit kept jumping trying to get the pup in its grip.

Because they posted an article about a dog attack?

You can actually be against dog attacks and not afraid of all dogs.

You must own one of these killer dogs

Yes, all dogs. We have had mutts, not pitbulls, and they would bite in the face. We had to keep an eye on them around kids until the order in the pack was established.

And not just one dog but all three.

With two of four dogs, three of the dogs bit the face of children including one when I was 3 years old. All four were mutts.

My bite required stitches. The other was a neighbor kid and he had a welt on his face and the third was another neighbor. Was it life or death? No but it is foolish to assume that a dog will not bite just because is a nondescript breed.

It is the parents fault. A dog is a domesticated animal with wild tendencies and instincts.

odd but as an aside…we just found out yesterday why 1 of our sons teachers has been out this week. His teenage daughter (attends the sister school) was attacked by a pit bull terrier over the weekend and is in the hospital so he has been attending to her. We don’t know much detail at all though. (I even tried to search for dog attacks on local reports but don’t see any.)

I get your point but this truly dangerous, relentless, tenacious trigger-happy behavior is basically almost all PBT. Dogs will bite, but nasty dogs, as they were bred, will continue to hold on and keep going.
