Dogs can be erratic especially around children. Dogs have a social structure and nature and there are rules for interacting with them. Rules that a small child might not understand.

Yes, but plenty types and breeds and other mixes don’t just go berserk over “violating” those “rules”.

of course little children don't understand but how many ADULTS were there just yucking it up.....

any dog can turn....
