The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that commanders in a unit of Russian forces currently based in the village of Mulino in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia, are openly referring to their subordinates as “cannon fodder”; 50% of the unit’s personnel have been unable to obtain their payment cards.

QUOTE from the General Staff: “There is more and more information about low morale among enemy forces. Commanders of an occupation forces unit stationed in the village of Mulino, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, are openly referring to their subordinates as ‘cannon fodder’.

[Russian] military personnel also complain about medical care, and a lack of personal protection and equipment. Around 50% of military personnel are unable to obtain their payment cards and are concerned that their families might not receive their money in case of their death.”

DETAILS: The General Staff also said that Russian occupation forces continue to loot businesses on temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and rob the residents of those territories. For instance, they have stolen all vehicles belonging to the Elektropivdenmontazh-10, an electrical services provider in Enerhodar, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The organisation’s warehouse has been looted, and all of its equipment and tools have been taken away.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is wasting his army’s resources on Ukrainian soil, despite the fact that the Russian forces did not make any gains in Bakhmut and its surroundings in the last four months. The Russian leader did not give up trying to seize the region due to his personal ambition. Russian soldiers in Ukraine are officially put to death by the Central Command, although the price was very high. The Russian forces still failed to achieve their goal of taking the city. Violent conflicts continue in Ukraine, including in the city of Bakhmut.

Recently, Russian troops in Ukraine display a very disorganized and exhausted attitude on the important frontlines they occupy. This attitude will make it difficult for Russian forces to hold these areas. Most of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s current military forces are currently involved in offensive or defensive operations in Ukraine. In order for these forces to carry out any effective offensive operation, significant reserves must first be brought in.

The president of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, stated the other day that the Ukrainian forces are preparing for a counter-attack and are doing everything we can to make it stronger. After Zelensky’s statement, it is estimated that Ukraine will launch a counterattack in a short time.

Recently, Russian forces have been carrying out their offensive activities across Ukraine in a more restricted areas. Russian troops operate in Avdeevka Bakhmut Kupiansk western regions of Donetsk Oblast, eastern and western regions of Zaporizhia Oblast. Russian forces carry out more ineffective operations in the regions where they operate than in the past. The main reasons for the ineffectiveness of these operations are the general depletion of Russian soldiers and the patent of disorganized and fragmented deployment in some areas, it seems.

The current situation of Russian forces will create a significant obstacle to Russia’s hopes of defending critical areas of the front line. All Russian troops deployed on the territory of Ukraine are not at full capacity in terms of both the number of soldiers and the qualifications of the soldiers. The Russians, who wanted to make progress for a long time lost many soldiers on the territory of Ukraine. Although the extent of the damage caused by these losses to the Russian army was not fully understood at first.

When we look at the Russian troops as time passes, we can see how much damage the Ukrainian forces caused to the Russian army. Former Russian troops in Ukraine had both experienced and equipped soldiers. When we pay attention to the current troops, we see groups of Russian soldiers who have no idea what to do and are equipped with obsolete equipment. In addition, we see that the Russian military mobility has disappeared in many points compared to last year. While most of Russia’s attacks in various regions have not been successful, the front line in the city of Kherson has been mostly stagnant since Putin’s withdrawal last year. While the Russian army decided to withdraw from the Kherson region, the newly appointed Russian commander stated that the withdrawal of the Russian army was planned in order to stop the rapid advance of the Ukrainian forces. However, as we have seen, the situation is not exactly as the Russian commander described.
