In San Clemente, California, a large group of teens attacked two Marines.
The teens continued assaulting the Marines ever after the Marines were lying on the ground in the fetal position.
The Marines never fought back.
Two other adults eventually intervened and stopped the teens.

Says it all about what’s happened to this country.
If they won’t defend themselves, how will they defend our country. I would have expected them to kick some serious teen buttocks. Or else go down fighting and causing harm to as many attackers as possible.

Marines fighting minors would be twisted into the marines assaulted the ‘teens.’ And the marines end up with charges, etc.
...not sure what the one was thinking when he ran into the crowd.
How do they know they are “teens”?
Did they check their ID’s?

My oldest brother was a Marine in the early 1980s
I remember him telling a story about how he and 3 others were in a pub in the Philippines when some bar-maids asked them if they wanted to play black-jack “for fun” to pass the time while they sat at the bar. They said “OK,” never talking about money. They drank some beers and chatted with the girls.
When it came time to settle up, they were told they had to pay $500 for their “gambling losses.” Suddenly a gang of men appeared.
Just like in the movies, they looked at each other out of the corner of their eyes for confirmation - then started swinging chairs and throwing punches as they fought their way to the door.

Maybe they didn’t want repercussions to befall the Corps as a result of their action.

What have the Marines been charged with?
If they won’t defend themselves, how will they defend our country.

In the current political climate, if they had made any attempt to defend themselves, they’d have spent a serious portion of the remainder of their lives either in federal military prison or state prison.
And they know it.
Probably these Marines were fresh out of boot and fully believing all the smoke blown up their @$$es about how awesome they were to be Marines. They are going to hear it endlessly until they leave Pendleton.
That said, no military training in the world can make you immune from a suckerpunch and overwhelming numbers. The correct move is to recognize a bad situation and avoid getting into it in the first place.
Uh.. said they confronted a group of 30 to 40 teens and got swarmed and stomped. Only Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris are able to single handedly take down that many attackers at once.

I miss the days when reporters used the correct words.
