I read his article. Take it with a HUGE grain of salt.
He seems to think that fires will burn everything black, well if the fire is hot enough, or sustained enough the results will be white ash. Seen it numerous times.
A lot of the construction in Lahaina was wood, and older wood at that. As wood gets older, it dries out and is vulnerable to stuff like dry rot and termites. As the pineapple plantations left the area, a lot of the areas were overrun by grasses that had a lush spring and a dry summer. Dry grasses, wood construction, high winds... all add up to a ticking time bomb.
Was there errors by the Emergency Department? Undoubtably. The sheer scale and speed of the fire (and the failure of communication lines) probably complicated the response.
He also seems to be fixated that people are wearing flip-flops while checking out the fire. News report pal - virtually EVERYONE in Hawaii wears slippers (or flip-flops as you call them).
He seems to think that since California is only 5 hours away by air that firefighting teams could have flown in and fought the fires. Inter-state coordination takes time, more than just a few hours. It’s not like you can call 911 and have a response from another state just like that (snaps fingers).
Read his stuff with an open and critical mind.

“So” doesn’t bother me much ‘cause I think of it as sort of a sum up of what was previously said by either one of us. The one that drives me nuts is when the interviewee questioned starts out with “I mean. . .blah blah” as if he is correcting something he has just said when he hasn’t said a thing so far. Buying time imo. Just answer the darn question will ya.
(I have a feeling that in both of these instances one has to be there to understand what each of US is saying here.)

You must be referring to crewed missions since Russia and China use the metric system and have successfully gone to the moon and returned. However, none of their lunar missions were crewed, unlike the United States.
Because billionaires like Oprah Winfrey, Larry Ellison, Jeff Bezos et all have been wanting to purchase this land from the Hawaiians who will not sell⊠this is prime real estate. If this was caused by hurricane winds 700 miles away? how did it miss the big island and only hit Maui? So by burning them all out and scorching it to the ground, will force them out of there.

I read your post on the Maui fires - and I tend to believe that there are/were shenanigans involved. Things don’t add up in terms of wildfires spreading. But it is not a situation that I’m greatly familiar with either, so there is that.
Still suspicious about the fires in Canada, that seemingly started all at the same time. Shenanigans there too.
According to the boat skippers and crews, they heard from the processers (So this is third hand information FWIW) that the Russians are dumping crab, salmon, etc. on the market to finance the Ukraine War

Could be, I’ve seen a few posts on Youtube & twitter roughly saying, “...if only we had taken on climate change”, comments on the Maui fires.
They may be trying to set the narrative. Not sure if it’s going to work though because it seems everything the derps try to pull, they end up getting ratio’ed.
