People who misuse or abuse laxatives will eventually come to the point where their body requires the laxative to work, as the natural muscles become sluggish and eventually can’t work with out the chemical additive....................

My mom was addicted to them and my husband has to have the powdered stuff in his cereal every morning. Neither was/is active at all and both refused/refuses to move or drink water.
