The season is two weeks old and two teams in the top five of the preseason AP Top 25 already have a loss.
No. 5 LSU lost to No. 8 Florida State in Week 1 and preseason No. 4 Alabama lost 34-24 to preseason No. 11 Texas on Saturday night. Both games could prove pivotal when the College Football Playoff rankings are released at the end of the season.
With Week 3's non-conference slate looking pretty bleak before conference play really gets going in Week 4, we figured now was a good time to rank the best non-conference victories through the first two weeks of the 2023 season. Here are our 10 biggest non-conference wins so far.

Texas going into Tuscaloosa and beating Bama is huge. Are we going to see a truly down year for The Tide? Time will tell.

What the NCAA has done to the major conferences starting next year is despicable and will never be forgiven, somehow this reminds me of today’s feds. We are headed for three or four major conferences (at least with respect to football) and eventually, in my opinion, one super conference. As usual, it's all about the money.

IF you're talking about the conference re-alignment, the NCAA has exactly zero to do with that.

People say Bama is dead because they so DESPARATELY want them to be😂😂😂. Check their 4/5 star roster, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio state all wish their recruiting classes were as good as Bama’s

This is probably the first time Saban has to deal with not having a Heisman candidate Quarterback.

The Bama QB looked Terrible. Could not read the field and telegraphed his passes. That will be an issue all season. He looked like every Gator quarterback since Tebow.

True. Great for the Buffaloes football team but the game has a way of humbling someone.
Why nobody talkin 'bout USC?
It's early but I'm thinking this is the team that
will be hard to stop.

Why nobody talkin 'bout USC? Be nice if their games were played before people go to bed.

The biggest stunner yesterday was Rice beating Houston.

A lot of teams will end up dropping football if they can’t compete.
I would can the conferences and just put teams in divisions that closely resemble the old classic conferences, and keep the great rivalries intact.

The transfers portal is killing college football. In a couple years more than 1\2 the roster of the Eagles will be from Georgia.

A gambler friend told me last season that we were approaching the"sunset" of coach Sabin's career. After what Texas did to them last night and how they finished last season it may be true! ALL GOOD THINGS MUST END!.. it previously happened to Bear Bryant

I don’t bet football, but yesterday I did. Took Texas outright to beat Bama. Texas did not disappoint.

That’s the main reason why the Pac-12 is going to be no more.
When your games start at 10PM on the East Coast, you’re not going to get the publicity.

Georgia could and may win ten titles in a row and no one says a negative thing about them.
Gator fans beg to differ.
