She also said something about her son {the victim} “just wanting to scare” the neighbor {the shooter} and possibly that he “swung” something at him... I assume she was talking about the chainsaw. {so her son may have swung a chainsaw at a man holding a gun ???} If that is what happened, I think this will turn out to be a case of justifiable self defense.<<
Someone’s not a “victim” unless it is determined that a crime was actually committed. If it turns out he did something stupid like swinging a chainsaw at his neighbor, and his neighbor shot him in self defense, then he was actually the aggressor, not the victim.
