IF any group had an event on that lawn when they received 6” of rain in a short time it would have left a mess most likely.
Any time you bring heavy equipment into an area with more than a couple inches of top soil that equipment is going to make ruts. It happens every year here on the gravel back roads of NH. It is called MUD SEASON. They post signs that say PASS AT YOU OWN RISK.
I have ruts in a section of my own lawn right now from driving across it multiple times last spring with my 4000# tractor moving bucket loads of crushed stone.
