CHICAGO — Prosecutors say a Chicago woman joined up with a knife-wielding, 13-year-old girl to carjack a driver outside a South Side pancake house on Halloween.
The 44-year-old victim was on her way to work after dining at Rocky’s Pancake House, 2948 East 83rd, when a white Hyundai blocked her in as she pulled out of the parking lot around 9:30 a.m., officials said.
Two people, the 13-year-old and 19-year-old Jamia Little, jumped out of the Hyundai and ran to the victim’s driver’s door, according to prosecutors.
“Get out, b***h!” the duo demanded as the girl brandished a knife. The driver complied.
Little allegedly climbed behind the wheel and drove away the 13-year-old in the victim’s Kia Stinger. A nearby gas station’s security camera recorded it all.
About a half-hour later, Chicago police officers arrested Little and the girl after spotting them near the hijacked Kia in an alley behind the 7500 block of South Yates. Prosecutors said security footage showed Little and the girl stopping the car in the alley and getting out to remove its license plates.
The 13-year-old was carrying a knife and a screwdriver when the cops caught her. Little had the victim’s ID and concealed carry license, police said.
Judge Susana Ortiz ordered Little detained as a safety threat on a charge of aggravated vehicular hijacking.
Court records show that Little was arrested twice earlier this year for criminal trespass to vehicles, once on March 15 and, while that case was pending, again on April 5. Prosecutors dropped those cases on April 19 and April 10, respectively.
The natives are getting a little impatient waiting for their “reparations” checks.

Reality - The story featured the usual suspects for a carjacking story.
Fantasy - At the link, a video ad played, featuring a nicely dressed and law-abiding 13% woman driving a very nice car.
I know some who have their CCW but don't always carry. Some I've convinced but some just don't believe anything will happen.
Normalcy bias will get you killed or carjacked.
Nothing good happens at the Pancake House.

It depends here you are going.
I hated going with my wife to the hospital. The facility is a 30.06 Gun Free Zone and parking is valet. It left no best option. The hospital area isn’t in the safest part of town either.
