I had my comments deleted as I realized I misunderstood another’s comment.
Was thinking about “why” Congress is not doing anything about the border. Could it be that the WH or military told them to “stand down” because IF something did get passed to send the invaders packing in the short term and the military plans to arrest most of Congress down the road, wouldn’t it look like the members were being retaliated against for closing the border? And maybe that’s a reason also for the slow response to impeachment. Isn’t it true you can’t impeach a fake president?
Well gang it’s been one heck of a start to the New Year:

Korea: assasination attempt
Middle East: Israel’s high court negates laws, U.S. Navy destroys 3 Houthis ships and Iranians move ships into Red Sea
New York: car attack with explosives loaded; major boom this morning with electrical issues
Illinois: new gun laws in effect making thousands felons if they didn’t register legal guns by end of year.
Miami: police mobilization at Bayside marketplace
DC: Federalrequirements for all businesses to register beneficial ownership in effect Jan 1 mainly impacting small biz.
Space: Largest solar flare since 2017 detected.
National: Some Epstein stuff released - though I’m not sure if it’s really anything new yet
Yes indeed, it’s been one heck of a start these first 2 days.
And here I was thinking that there was a very brief flame was . . . Shows what I get for thinking! Heh. :-)
