It is a fraternal order and the “secrecy” was to encourage Catholic men to be a member of their own society. These secret societies were prevalent in the late 1800s, when the KofC was founded, as I explained. The 4 Degees in order are: Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. The Supreme Council is the National Organization, which runs everything. They are the ones who decreed doing away with the feathered hats and going with the berets. Saying they are “Gatekeepers of the Cabal” is laughable.

The name “Christopher” does mean “God Bearer” in Greek, from the story of St. Christopher carrying the Christ Child across a dangerous stream. Again, this info can be found via search engine.

If you haven't figured it out yet. Nothing is what it seems. It's all a show. I don't even believe in the left/right dialectic

They can't do that with every organization. For recruiting people that are willfully unaware of the compartmentalized organization. They need to be open at the bottom secretive at the top

Though the core group which I believe I pin pointed are the Babylonian Mystics. A group that is no longer telling anyone who they are. They also don't exist officially. They use other beliefs as cover and diversion.
