Now that Joe Biden is past the point of no return on the polls, most of the speculation on Michelle Obama replacing him on the ticket is palaver.
It tends to be done by people who are open fawners to, or absolute haters of, the woman, and thus, bad prognosticators, or else by people who don't know much about Democrat power politics which is not given up lightly.
But then there is Chicago essayist John Kass, who knows what he is talking about.
He's got a deliciously good column on Michelle Obama and all her many 'terrors' -- of a Trump presidency and more, as well as some hard talk about what her prospects are for the presidency given that many Democrats want her.
He writes:
First, please understand that Michelle is terribly afraid that former President Donald Trump will recapture the White House. Her husband’s “Big Guy,” also known as China Joe Biden is haplessly watching his job approval ratings plummet especially in the swing states that will take other Democrat politicians down with him.
So they’re afraid, the media is afraid, and Michelle is pushing the panic button.
“I am terrified about what could possibly happen,” Ms. Obama said of this year’s presidential election on a podcast. And China Joe’s failing popularity numbers on key policy issues from the wide-open border to inflation to street crime are causing Democrat politicians to fret and as their leftist corprate media mouthpieces soil themselves.
The real terror, though, is of a presidential candidate Michelle Obama, he notes, citing a conversation with Tom Bevan of RealClearPolitics:

The Dems are desperate to replace JB, and their options are extremely limited. They have to find somebody not already soiled on the national level who would poll within the ‘fraud margin’ (i.e., somebody who could keep the race against Trump close enough so that a plausible number of fraud votes would “win”).

The question is... are the leftists so desperate that they ‘think’ Mooshelle could win the next election? Or are they already counting on another steal success... and having Mooshelle in there would be another excellent “eff yew” to America.

They screwed their own in 2020 again by dumping Bernie for Biden.
They screwed all of us in 2020 and (mostly) in 2022 by telling us we weren't seeing what we saw with our very own eyes.
Democrats have no fear. And, too many Republicans have cucked themselves into "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em"...
So... what makes anyone think they won't dump Biden for Big Mike in 2024??!?
Some republicans want the "perfect candidate" that agrees with them on everything about every issue and behaves exactly as they want.
If they don't get it, they don't vote. Lord, help these perfectionist "republicans" drag themselves out to vote!
The only way they will ever get their "perfect candidate" is to run for office themselves, as it's rare for any two people to agree on everything.
Democrats back their candidates, no matter how flawed. They know that if they can get just a little more of what they want in each cycle, they will incrementally get everything they want.
Please don't wait for impossible "perfect candidate". Vote or watch our country go further down the toilet.
