Covering up their crimes, and to poke at Russia. They hate Putin as he is anti-WEF, refuses to go along with globalism, stands for “traditional values” ie moral values, and know stuff about them, such as the biowarfare labs they were doing.
And, I believe, Russia has one of the very few Central Banks on the planet that doesn't have Rothschild ownership.
