Since I announced my retirement last Spring, I’ve been going to the gym 5 days a week doing moderate weights and cardio, and bias my eating towards protein.
Lost 17 pounds, 3 inches around my waist, 10 points of blood pressure, and feel great!
5’11”, 168 lbs. this morning.
The key is no processed foods.
The biggest change I’ve made is I now do Sprints twice a week.
Jogging and long-distance running are a waste of time, IMHO. You get more done just spending 20 minutes doing 10 sprints of 5 seconds at full-effort. You’ll look like you’ve been lifting weights. Ever compare a sprinter’s body to that of a long-distance runner?
