There was a low spot in the road just the next block down from the house where I grew up. Any time we had a t-storm, the run-off from the park and from up and down the street would overwhelm the storm drain and flood the street to about mid-thigh on an average sized person.
We used to swim in it... Ride our bikes through it. Even had some floaties we’d sit in... It’d only last an hour or so after a storm... but it was fun.
They’ve since fixed the drain and it doesn’t flood any more. :-(
