It was done very well in Bioshock Infinite in a barbershop quartet style.

I consider Lullaby of the Leaves to be the greatest song of all time, followed by Dream a Little Dream of Me.

Im going to concur and say that I consider it probably the most poignant and musically perfect pop song ever written. It’s pure genius.

Saw a Beach Boys documentary recently about the album “Pet Sounds”.

There was a point the Beatles were in California and met with them and they all listened to the whole album a couple of times.

John Lennon said God Only Knows was “the perfect song”......quite the endorsement wouldn’t you say. 😏

I don’t know if it’s the best song *I* think was ever written, but to win such high praise from Jimmy Webb is something I take seriously.

I’ll go have a listen. Sure miss my stereo.

I like the Ella Fitzgerald and Mama Cass versions of Dream a Little Dream.

My chorus sings "God Only Knows"

It's a cool song, but I thought many others were better. Several are at the playlist link.

The Beach Boys always left me cold. With a few exceptions (i.e. Sloop John B) their music all sounds pretty much the same. Surfing, hot rods and highs school get tapped out pretty quickly.

John Lennon Played It on Repeat and Frank Sinatra Called It the Best Song of the ‘70s

Puzzling, Sinatra called it the best song of the '70s? It was released in 1966. But I must say, it's in my top 10 of the best pop songs of all time.

Now if Frank says that, I’m in 100% agreement.

That post was talking about Reminiscing by the Little River Band. A song which actually refers to Big Band music.

Always liked the echoe-y French horn, harpsichord, and flutes.
