I thought of the whale as well.

There was one man who spoke to the crew chief about blowing up the whale: told the crew chief that it was going to be a disaster but was ignored.

The man had just purchased a new car that morning and 1/2 ton of whale landed on the car...

I recall Art Bell interviewing him and it was funny to hear of his issues with his insurance company..
