Already happened in DC.

The local “alternative” station, with the typical audience of pierced and tattooed gen-x liberals, switched format...

“At noon on January 12, 2005, 99.1 WHFS was switched to a Tropical Latin music format.”

Wonder if any of the former listeners of that station figured out anything from that.

99.1 WHFS best radio station/deejays ever. I used to tape them on cassette and replay over and over when away. Didn’t matter what song they were all awesome.

I did not know that about WHFS. Man, that was the station to listen to in the 70’s and early 80’s. They played albums and album cuts. The DJ - Weasel - was extremely knowledgable about rock and the artists. Sad to hear. Another part of my youth gone forever.
