An experimental study, released today, looks into whether apple cider vinegar could be effective for weight loss, reduce blood glucose levels and reduce blood lipids (cholesterol and triglycerides).
The results suggest it could reduce all three—but it might not be as simple as downing an apple cider vinegar drink a day.
A group of scientists did a double-blinded, randomized, clinical trial in a group of overweight and obese young people aged from 12–25 years.
Researchers randomly placed 30 participants in one of four groups. The participants were instructed to consume either 5, 10 or 15ml of apple cider vinegar diluted into 250ml of water each morning before they ate anything for 12 weeks. A control group consumed an inactive drink (a placebo) made (from lactic acid added to water) to look and taste the same.
After a period of three months apple cider vinegar consumption was linked with significant falls in body weight and body mass index (BMI). On average, those who drank apple cider vinegar during that period lost 6–8kg in weight and reduced their BMI by 2.7–3 points, depending on the dose. They also showed significant decreases in the waist and hip circumference.
The authors also report significant decreases in levels of blood glucose, triglycerides, and cholesterol in the apple cider groups. This finding echoes previous studies. The placebo group, who were given water with lactic acid, had much smaller decreases in weight and BMI. There were also no significant decreases in blood glucose and blood lipids.
From animal studies, it is thought the acetic acid in apple cider vinegar may affect the expression of genes involved in burning fats for energy.

Yes, but per usual a study done with such small numbers, especially considering the self-reporting required for it, to not provide meaningful results.
I eat gummy daily with those ingredients. I just like the taste.

That may be easier said than done....apple cider vinegar is nasty, at least I think so.
I tried ACV for tinnitus several years ago. It didn’t help but I found that you could mix a lot of it into Fruit Punch Gatorade and it wasn’t too bad.
Do be careful, as vinegar erodes teeth.

Apple Cider Vinegar May not be healthy if splashed onto the teeth. Apple cider vinegar may be bad news for the stomach lining. Diluted with water and drinking while avoiding the teeth may be wise. Everyone that I know of who tried apple cider vinegar would up discontinueing the attempts. I think though that vinegar does clean window glass and will clean a person’s insides.
Apple cider vinegar mixed with olive oil and Italian seasonings is healthy for lettuce salads.
A rotted apple a day keeps the doctor away, or just eat the apple and let your colon work natural.

I take two apple cider vinegar capsules a day....I can’t drink apple cider vinegar....

I tried the vinegar route but it got to where i just dreaded it.
I enjoy that beverage too much. Would go overboard.
Apple cider vinegar is also great when vomiting from something you ate. Just take 1 teaspoon to 3 teaspoons water, and do it in the bathroom. If you don’t hurl in 15 minutes, you probably won’t hurl again.
I was thinking a meme with a fat women (before) and then skinny woman (after). Call it the Biden Diet and show the food inflation numbers.
