How did it lose power? Bad gas, ship put in wrong gear, did the crew really put it on auto pilot and go to bed? Honest to God, that’s what I see on TV from the expert speculators. What have you heard the experts say? Wouldn’t you like to hear what the pilot said?
I haven't heard anything, I've been away from the TV all day.
All I said was I want to know why a ship that just pulled away lost power? I didn't infer anything beyond that, but you apparently have.
Of course I'd want to hear what the pilot said, but I doubt the pilot had much to do with it. The pilot only gets on the ship to navigate it out of port or gets on the ship before it comes into port, basically to steer the ship around known local obstacles and depth channels that might not be on or has changed on charts.
It's the regular crew that maintains the engines and the power plant. It's the captain and chief engineer that I'd want to hear from, the pilot is only on the ship for one job and then he's gone.
