How long have blacks (NOT CAPITALIZED) been doing this stupid nonsense, does she think? (BTW, it’s parallel to whites using Irish and last names.)
Let me tell you, 100 years ago blacks were normal. Normal names.
And I can’t think of any blacks in my generation in school who had weird names. Well, my good friend in high school did, but her older sister had a normal name. Our neighbors who were Ethiopian had curious names, but that’s understandable.
So, this isn’t “persisting”. It’s a newer trend.
Yes, blacks used to have NORMAL names and as I read this thread, I keep wondering when and WHY that all changed.
Blacks who come here to work, I understand can have non-European names, but that’s akin to people coming here from non-English speaking nations having an unusual/spelled differently name.
