Back in ‘68 that may have been a proper response, but times have changed.
The survivors of the ‘68 DNC convention are now in charge and the ones outside do as they are directed.
The coppers are simply there to take responsibility for any damage and give the jamokes something to throw stuff at.
It is even more needed now that it isn’t appropriate.
