We’ve been on ‘netzero.com’ for years. I think it’s $29/yr or something. Of course you could use your freepmail. LOL!

Bookmarked. I have GMail as well and I want to get away from it. I don’t know how they could implement facial recognition or thumbprint identification from a home PC, but if they start with that kind of nonsense it’s bye bye Google.

I don’t really trust anything in this world, but Proton advertises itself as very private and secure. Email is encrypted. It’s based in Switzerland and at least pays lip-service to its opposition to surveillance.
It’s free, and I believe you sign up with just an existing email account.
If you have a “throw away” email account, you can use it to initiate your Proton account. Total anonymity is never possible, but you can start off as a pretty blank slate that way, and if your email traffic is automatically encrypted, then you’re not terribly visible.

I don’t see how any make a difference as you have no control over recipient if for no other reason. Besides has anyone here had a documented problem? I use Gmail because (1) I am not doing anything illegal and (2) no one blocks Gmail servers.

Whatever email service I use, it has to support POP3. I download my email from client servers to my PC. Unfortunately there aren’t too many of those left.
