Fahrvergnügen!.................
Germany: soon to be renamed the Federal Republic of Maryland.
Oh, snap!
” I’ve seen enough during COVID to know that no one is going to be stopping this BS.”
I’ve seen enough of the American public that I know if you convince them it’s “good for them, good for the planet”, they will fall in line for virtually anything.
There must be some exemptions? taxi/ Bus? commercial vehicles?
What does that do to germany (or others) tourism?
How do you get to/ from the airport after midnight on Friday?
Stop all in and out flights on weekends?
Do all commerical deliveries exclude moving/ delivering weekends?
I had forgotten that song, now it’s stuck in my head
You don't have to go to Germany to do it. You can do it on a raceway, like the big one in Alabama. With the link below they provide a race car. I've heard that they have an option to BYOC: Bring Your Own Car.

Take out the enforcers.
Take out the mufflers and catalytic converters..............
German engineering requires equally complicated german engineered law.
All they have to do is get a Muslim to go and smash all the cameras... the authorities there will never have the guts to arrest them
“First they came for the weekends...”
I swear I have been passed on I93 in NH by people easily doing 100-120 mph.
When I am going 80 MPH and people are passing me like I am standing still. They are going over 100 mph. It seems that every vehicle on the road can easily do 90-100 mph now.
Germany is already in a recession from the Ukraine war. Not driving on the weekends will be great for consumer spending.
This just means that the Euro elite will have the autobahn to themselves in their Mercedes and Porches. They just don’t want the little people in their way driving the VWs and Fiats.
und die Autobahn hat Einfahrten und Ausfahrten.
no ban: just clickbait headline ...
here’s the actual statement by Deutch transportation honcho:
“Germans warned weekend driving *MAY* be banned to meet ‘net zero ‘ targets.
A corresponding reduction in traffic performance would only be possible through restrictive measures that are difficult to communicate to the population, *SUCH AS* nationwide and indefinite driving bans on Saturdays and Sundays, [FDP party lead Volker
@Wissing
] wrote in a letter dated Thursday to coalition parliamentary group leaders.”
Roger that! Throughout the Fauci Flu debacle we saw first-hand just how many American “men” are not really men. It’s quite pathetic, really.
There is already a ban on traveling Semi’s on the weekends.
Now cars are next.
In Europe, people use the mass transit more, but usually just to travel to work.
There is a long tradition on weekend outings in the country over there.
That can be accomplished by cars only (more-less). Trains or busses do not go out to the pristine countryside!
So this ban is an almost total ban on recreation!
I am sure, they will not take this lightly there!
Well, use mass transit.
There are busses and trains going to airports!
But, as I mentioned above, busses and trains do not go to countryside, so this means ban on recreation!
I do that for several reasons: less chance of death...less chance of a speeding ticket (I've never gotten a moving violation ticket in my life)...and better gas mileage.
This, clearly, is on the agenda here in the U.S., if the 2024 swindle goes as planned...
Our homegrown communists also have a strategy ready to implement that will allow odd-numbered days for half the population to drive and even-numbered days for the other half...
Shades of Richard Nixon, et al...
