we do not enforce the law here in the US....

Of course. But you make it sound like a trivial thing enforcing, and more importantly, having the right laws.

Not only are we not enforcing laws that would lead to a more peaceful coexistence, we’re on a daily basis creating more laws that favor criminality over victims.

It’s become a cultural thing, and culture is a difficult thing to change.
