It really isn't that simple.
There is considerable diverse opinion and a demand for PEACE and a deal among citizens.
Israeli democracy is wild.
On the one side you have hostage families calling for peace at literally ANY price. Life is THE Jewish thing, and if you can save one, you’re obligated, over the interests of the State.
On the other side, you have the vast majority of Israelis who want ham ass dead. The ham ass attack demonstrated a permanent existential threat to Jews, and they intend to kill at least this generations’ worth of terrorist baby roasting rapist kidnapping murderers.
Imagine it's 1945, and if Jews were calling on the Allies to leave Hitler alone, to save what few were still alive in the death camps.
Respectfully disagree. The religious aspects are certainly part of the equation; however, the Israeli/Hamas/Hezbolla/et al War is just one part of a world-wide alliance amongst the Marxist-Globalists/Sharia-Supremacists in their war on Western culture and values. As a whole, it is very much a political war.

its easy to say ‘we dont negotiate with terrorists’ when your relatives are safe and sound. it should be understood that those whose relatives are hostages of the terrorists cannot take that position.

President Biden and Secy. Of State Antony Blinken have close ties with the Iranian regime. Their former envoy to Iran Robert Malley is also pro Iranian.
It seems obvious they would know the whereabouts of the Iranian backed Hamas hostages. I believe 5 hostages are American, so you would think the Biden Administration would be working hard to get them released.
